"On Call" is U of R's medical student a cappella group. The group began in 2004 while singing holiday songs to children in the pediatric ward. In the following years, we continued our holiday cheer throughout the hospital and medical school, but also expanded our repertoire to sing throughout the city of Rochester. In 2007 we were chosen by the CBS Early Show as one of the top 5 a cappella groups in the country! Today our songs range from medical school parodies to Disney songs and jazz standards. We're always looking for more students to join!

Rassha Fuzion: To Dance Is To Live…
Dance is an expression and a reflection of life in many cultures. Every movement tells a story of a people’s past, its current state, and its progression into the future. Rassha Fuzion is an organization dedicated to celebrating the art that is dance. Each semester will incorporate choreography of dances from different cultures, including South Asian Dance, Hip Hop, and Salsa. Not only will students learn to appreciate the similarities and differences among varying forms of dance, but also, they will gain a greater understanding and respect for the rich and vibrant cultures that underlie the movement. Dances were performed South Asian/Bollywood style to a fast paced medley of music comprising films songs and both bhangra and dandia (traditional dance done with sticks). Hip hop was recently introduced and served to boost the dance flavor that Rassha Fuzion provides to the U of R medical community.
Rassha Fuzion invites medical students from all 4 years to participate, with the hopes of creating a network of support and friendship. No dance experience is necessary—the only element required is enthusiasm! The group's primary performance venue is the Medical School Talent Show (Spring).
