The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry was begun in 1925 as one of the first medical schools to integrate basic science and clinical medicine. That tradition has continued incorporating the biopsychosocial approach to patient care. 
Our outstanding medical education program is augmented by our numerous community service opportunities and well established international health options. The translational science at our institution links our cutting edge basic science with clinical applications—mirroring our curriculum.
Rochester’s research infrastructure allows students to pursue research in many ways, including our Academic Research Track and Joint Degree programs.
