connect a laptop (by cable)

The Medical Center has many network "drops," specially marked with green dots. If you try to plug your computer into a drop that is not marked with a green dot, it may not work; and it could possibly damage your computer. If you want to connect to a drop that is not marked with a green dot, confirm that it is an active drop connected to the enterprise network before connecting to it.
