Tips on Choosing a PDA

  • Both Pocket PC and Palm OS devices are supported at URMC.
  • Contact UR Computer Sales for advice on choosing the right PDA.
  • Clinicians interested in using PDAs for clinical transactions should consult Information Systems Division (ISD) for a recommendation on the platform to purchase.
  • Health-related resources generally have high memory requirements. Most PDAs have the capacity to add memory but not all resources will run on the expanded memory. Check the memory requirements for resources you're interested in downloading and buy a PDA with as much built in memory as you can afford.
