Research Overview
Dr. Anolik's research interests include the role of B cells in the pathophysiology of systemic lupus and related autoimmune diseases, as well as the study of new immuno-modulatory treatments for lupus. As part of the research group at the University of Rochester, she has been one of the pioneers in the use of B-cell depletion for the therapy of autoimmune diseases and investigation of the effects of B cell depletion on immune function in SLE patients. Her laboratory currently focuses on the investigation of B cell tolerance and homeostatic mechanisms in early B cell development in human lupus, the effects of B cell targeted therapies on this process, and the development of a murine model of B cell depletion.
Dr. Anolik has served as a mentor for many students in the past and continues to mentor future scientists in his lab.
