The laboratory provides technical services including:

• Processing of blood and tissue samples for PI-initiated, pharmaceutical, and NIH-funded clinical trials
• Shipment of specimens according to study protocols

Our Staff

Our laboratory is staffed by 5 full-time trained technicians, a supervisor, and director. With more than 20 years of molecular biology research experience, we are proficient in preparing a variety of derivatives from a wide range of human or animal blood and tissues.

Policy Compliance and Certification

The lab follows Good Clinical Laboratory Practices (GCLP) and is therefore compliant with FDA auditing requirements and other governmental regulators. All specimens follow a strict chain of custody including electronic tracking using laboratory data management software, which includes barcoding all samples.

The lab International Air Transport Association (IATA) is certified to ship biological specimens both domestically and internationally using any courier (e.g., Fed Ex, UPS). The lab is also experienced in working with many pharmaceutical companies (e.g. Merck, Bavarian Nordic, GSK) and commercial testing labs (e.g. Quest, Covance, Esoterix, Lab Corp). The lab carries out quality assurance procedures to ensure top-quality specimens.
