He is nationally recognized for his research on the psychosocial aspects of suicide and depression in older adults, and is Principal Investigator on two active NIMH-funded R01s: "Adult Derpression, Suicidal Ideation and Personality" and "Detecting Depression in Older Adults" Dr. Duberstein is also interested in how personality traits and sociocultural considerations interact to enhance wellness or amplify risk for adverse health outcomes in older adults.
