Needs Assessment
The PACS 2005 Program Committee reviewed recommendations for specific
topics. The PACS 2004 Meeting Evaluation Forms were reviewed for
participant and exhibitor feedback and were considered in developing
the framework for this educational program. Current literature was
reviewed to determine the major areas of concern in digital imaging
as well as where the major technological advances were being made
and being incorporated into the clinical environment. To accomplish
the conference goals, a variety of educational methodologies will
be used: lectures, panel discussions, case studies, question and
answer sessions, and a standard set of images for comparison of workstation
intuitiveness and functionality as well as monitor performance.
The objectives of this conference are to ensure that attendees:
- Understand the importance of providing integrated electronic delivery
of clinical images and data
- Are aware of the economic and productivity benefits of operating
in an integrated digital environment that provides images and
data
anywhere at anytime
- Are kept abreast of rapidly advancing technologies in the application
of digital imaging and information management systems
