Double Helix Curriculum

Integrating basic science and clinical medicine through a four year biopsychosocial continuum.

Go!

Long recognized for excellence and innovation in medical education, Rochester continues its leading role with a comprehensive curriculum revision, beginning with the entering class of 1999. Rochester's new Double Helix Curriculum represents a unique integration of basic science and clinical medicine throughout the four-year curriculum. Each element of the curriculum will strengthen Rochester's biopsychosocial tradition by fostering knowledge, skills, and attitudes in evidence-based, patient-centered medicine, the hallmark of a Rochester education.
