Clinical Information Training

The University of Rochester Medical Center uses the Clinical Information System (CIS) for Results Reporting (Lab, Microbiology, Radiology, Dictations, Cardiology, Blood Bank) and for Provider Order Entry.

All incoming trainees must complete the computer-based training (CBT Provider) module, which includes CBT Part 1 and CBT Part 2 PRIOR to orientation.  The link to the training module is http://extranet.urmc.rochester.edu/cis/ (available on 1/17/09).

The module, which includes Med Reconciliation, will take approximately 25-30 minutes and includes the mandatory hospital confidentiality training.

BEGIN THIS TRAINING MODULE ON OR AFTER APRIL 1, 2010.

If you need help with the training module, please page the CIS Customer Service Reps at 585.275.1616 ID #7411.

Please check with your department to determine if you need to attend a Provider Order Entry class.  We are working with many of the coordinators to schedule department classes.

For further questions regarding CIS, please email Amy_Schlageter@urmc.rochester.edu.
