With over 700 residents and fellows engaged in graduate medical education at the University of Rochester Medical Center, the University was awarded an unprecedented 6-year institutitonal accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) for sponsorship of residency and fellowship programs. The University of Rochester Medical Center was also recognized by the ACGME's Committee on Innovation in the Learning Environment for creating an atmosphere that is supportive of educational excellence.
