Alzheimer’s and Dementia Program and Alzheimer’s / Dementia Outreach Program (ADOP)
Unity Health System is a health care network that serves the city of Rochester and western Monroe County. Several programs, including the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Day Services Program and the Alzheimer’s / Dementia Outreach Program are available to members of the community affected by dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
Alzheimer's Disease Education and Referral (ADEAR) Center
The ADEAR website offers up-to-date information and resources pertaining to Alzheimer’s disease provided by the National Institute on Aging (NIA). The NIA is an institute of the NIH, a U.S. federal government agency that provides accurate, current information about all aspects of aging research, information about clinical trials, educational materials and resources about aging for the general public, and information for researchers and health professionals.
The FCA is a national center on caregiving that offers support to families that care for loved ones with chronic, disabling health conditions. Support is provided for caregivers through education, services, research and advocacy programs. Online resources include discussion groups, online workshops, and collections of fact sheets and other publications.
Alzheimer’s Disease Cooperative Study (ADCS)
This page provides an overview of the ADCS, a collaborative effort developed by the National Institute of Aging and the University of California San Diego to investigate the potential usefulness of drugs not developed by industry for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. Descriptions of past and present studies conducted by the ADCS are available on this site.
