Molecular mechanisms of tumor suppression, aging, and stem cell maintenance
Project Overview
Epigenetic reprogramming takes place at critical stages in normal development or in disease situations. It is known that extensive reprogramming accompanies early zygotic development as well as stem cell differentiation. We are currently investigating the role of heterochromatin dynamics in early embryonic development and in stem cell self-renewal, as well as the role of heterochromatin formation in tumor suppression.
