Efferent-mediated Suppression

Picture of project

Efferent-mediated suppression of cochlear distortion product otoacoustic emissions (DPOAEs) is enhanced in transgenic animals, especially for f 2 frequencies of 16 to 32 kHz. Data show mean suppression ( ± s.e.m.) of the DPOAE at 2f 1 -f 2 due to efferent electrical stimulation. Numbers of animals tested in each group are indicated in the key.
