Center for Navigation and Communications Sciences
We have established the Center for Navigation and Communication Sciences, supported by the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD), that is specifically dedicated to research on the sensory, motor, and integrative mechanisms underlying these essential functions. Key topics of research focus on two general areas: multi-sensory interactions and sensorimotor integration underlying communication and navigation, and plasticity, learning and recovery of function. Center for Visual Science
CVS was founded in 1963 by Robert M. Boynton to bring together scientists from a variety of disciplines with the common goal of pursuing excellence in vision research. These laboratories represent a diverse range of studies that span the development of the visual system to the interaction between visual perception and memory. Our investigators employ an equally diverse set of approaches, from molecular genetics and cellular biology to neurophysiology and psychophysics. More info...
