Course Description
This course is designed to provide rescuers with the emergency medical knowledge and skills necessary to care for the sick and injured in a pre-hospital setting. Topics include the recognition and treatment of respiratory and circulatory emergencies, trauma, medical emergencies, environmental injuries, emergency childbirth, and psychological emergencies. Sixteen instruction hours, eight laboratory hours.

Course Cost
New York State Department of Health provides tuition reimbursement (when available) for students from NYS EMS agencies who successfully complete approved courses and become certified. If the student does not qualify for State tuition reimbursement, the student will be responsible for paying the $300 tuition.
