Community Engagement Research Training

Online training program to educate physicians to 1) engage more effectively with community organizations, agencies, and diverse population groups in order to enhance health promotion intervention design and implementation and the quality and validity of research; 2) to develop more effective strategies for patient recruitment and retention; and 3) to improve the dissemination of information from health promotion interventions and/or clinical trials in order to increase the benefits to the community through increased knowledge of health promotion and disease prevention.

Training Series for FDA – Regulated Research Activities

This learning activity has been developed to ensure that investigators who are submitting IND applications to the FDA and thereby establishing a legal relationship with the FDA and are trained about their responsibilities as a regulatory sponsor. The absence of standardized training and assessment of these requirements creates an unacceptable liability in the management of institutional and faculty risk under federal regulatory schema.

This activity is intended for physicians and researchers (both MD and PhD) who work within the auspices of the University and will be submitting regulatory documents to the FDA.

This program is appropriate for all specialists, physicians, and practitioners who treat venous disease. This self assessment program has been developed as a review of the literature, presentation at conferences and discussions with colleagues demonstrated a lack of program that allows practitioners to assess their knowledge related specifically to venous disease.
