Conditions We Treat

Our team within the Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders Program evaluates, treats and coordinates care for young people with:

  • Anorexia nervosa
  • Bulimia nervosa
  • Atypical Eating Conditions
    • Anorexia nervosa and Bulimia nervosa are the most common eating disorders we treat.  However, we treat a variety of atypical eating conditions that have characteristics similar to Anorexia nervosa and Bulimia nervosa but do not meet diagnostic criteria for Anorexia or Bulimia.
Such atypical eating disorders include the following:
      • Selective feeding disorders – child or adolescent has difficulty eating food based on sensory qualities such as the taste or smell of food or the sensation of food in the mouth
      • Overeating related to emotional problems
