- Targeted Technical Assistance
Consistent with the RRCASD mission to better integrate information and community resources and identify gaps in resources, the Center routinely completes community-based needs assessments. Data derived from this on-going assessment of community needs drives targeted technical assistance activities. Through collaborative community partnerships, the RRCASD works with stakeholders to increase capacity and build needed resources. Targeted technical assistance activities include:
- Cross Systems Collaboration This activity focuses on building regional resources specific to supporting individuals with an ASD and a co-occurring mental health disorder.
- Post-secondary Transition and Support This activity focuses on developing and piloting training resources for personnel at secondary and post-secondary educational settings to better support individuals with ASD.
- Rural Initiative This activity focuses on describing the unique challenges to developing and accessing ASD specific resources in rural areas of the state.
