Rochester Regional Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders
The Rochester Regional Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders (RRCASD) was established in 2007 and is one of 6 centers in New York State coordinated by the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities Regional Center located at SUNY Albany. The RRCASD, which is affiliated with the University of Rochester’s Division of Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, provides information, education, and technical assistance to families, professionals, and schools/agencies residing or working within the Greater Rochester/Finger Lakes and Central/Southern Tier Region about models of best-practice in the assessment and treatment of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) that are informed by research and on-going community needs assessment. The Rochester Regional Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders seeks to provide information and resources that will:
- Increase knowledge of effective practices
- Expand information and community education resources
- Integrate and disseminate information on resources in our region
Eligibility
- Anyone diagnosed with an ASD
- Family members and/or other primary caregivers of someone with an ASD
- Professionals, community providers, schools and agencies that provide services and/or supports to individuals with an ASD
The RRCASD serves the following 17 counties in the Greater Rochester/Finger Lakes and Central/Southern Tier Region of New York:
Broome, Cayuga, Chemung, Cortland, Livingston, Monroe, Onondaga, Ontario, Oswego, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates
