Emergency Care Versus Critical Care
Emergency departments treat patients who suffer from a broad range of problems from the relatively minor to those that are life-threatening. Emergency Department physicians stabilize gravely ill or injured patients and transport them to the Critical Care Unit for further treatment and long-term management.
