Below please find copies of our current and past information sheets. Each sheet provides information and resources on a specific topic relevant to the assessment and/or treatment of autism spectrum disorders.

Training DVDs

Two training CDs are available for viewing. These CDs can be used by individuals or groups for the purposes of self-guided study and/or in-service training. Each CD is approximately 30 minutes in length and provides training slides, an accompanying study guide and a self-quiz.

Community Education and Technical Assistance Activities: Current Technical Assistance Activities

This year the Rochester Regional Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders(RRCASD) will be working with two groups of professionals to provide technical assistance to improve their knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and best-practices in the areas of transition preparation and college support. Each activity is described briefly below.

Transition Support Team Technical Assistance: Technical assistance is being provided to one high school transition team within our region. Technical assistance includes training on:

  • Characteristics of ASD
  • Intervention strategies for core and related features
  • Federal and state transition regulations
  • Assessment to inform intervention planning and for monitoring progress
  • Transition planning and preparation within a home-school-community collaborative model

 College Disability Support Team Technical Assistance: Technical assistance is being provided to one college disability support program within our region. Technical Assistance includes training on:

  • Characteristics of ASD
  • Intervention strategies for core and related features
  • Federal regulations regarding disability support in higher education
  • Assessment to inform support planning and for monitoring progress
  • Support planning within a home-school-community collaborative model
  • Campus capacity building planning model

Both of these activities are provided in conjunction with staff from the Institute for Innovative Transition.
