Community Education and Technical Assistance
The Community Education and Technical Assistance function of the Division of Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics has a goal of facilitating culturally competent, family-centered, community-based services and supports in inclusive environments.
Division Faculty and Staff

Coordinate and co-sponsor regional and national conferences on a wide range of developmental disabilities and best practices.

Provide continuing education locally and throughout New York State on topics such as best practices in Autism spectrum disorders, transition, life span issues, Positive Behavioral Support, Down Syndrome and other Intellectual Disabilities, inclusion of students with disabilities.

Provide technical assistance to a variety of local, state, and national educational, medical, and social service agencies and institutions to better understand and provide for the needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Provide information and referral services for individuals with disabilities, their families and the professionals who work with them.
