Secretary for the Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics clinic
Patty Longdue joined the University of Rochester in 2004 and has worked in the Division of Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics since 2008.
Roles and Responsibilities
I answer the telephone when families call with questions and send the information along to the correct person to respond to the family. When a family member calls to schedule an evaluation for their child with one of our providers I complete the registration and mail out paperwork. Once I receive the requested paperwork from the family, the school or early intervention team, and their primary care provider I refer to the social workers to schedule the appointment. I schedule follow-up appointments for families. I am responsible for obtaining referrals from the insurance companies. I provide families with the information needed to activate the My Chart system.
Patient Care Profile
I recognize that many of our families call when they have concerns regarding their child’s developmental needs. I understand that our families have concerns about their child and can be under a lot of stress at times and I try to reassure them that I will help them get the process started by completing their registration and mailing out their paperwork as soon as possible.
