Giving to Golisano Children's Hospital

Caught Doing Something Good

These community members are living proof that ordinary people can make an extraordinary difference for chidren treated at Golisano Children's Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC). Featured here are families, schools, community groups, and individuals who have reached out to our region's children in some very wonderful ways.

FMFFGolisano Children’s Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center would like to extend its deepest thanks to the Fairport Music and Food Festival team, who raised $120,823.14 for pediatric patients this year! Proud Fairport residents and long-term supporters of the children's hospital, Andy McDermott and Rob Burch created the music and food festival in 2005. The event has broken its previous record each year, continuously climbing to its generous $1-million goal. The quality of this family-friendly event has played an instrumental role in its success and what it has done for pediatric patients across the Finger Lakes region.

Individuals across the Rochester community look forward to the festival every summer. Next year's event is scheduled to take place on Aug. 23, 2014.
