Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Telethon
Every year, children and families touched by Golisano Children’s Hospital come together to share their remarkable stories at the annual Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals Telethon, presented by Tops Friendly Markets and hosted by News 10 NBC.
With the help of generous pledges from the community and numerous fundraising events from our CMNH sponsors, the 2013 30th anniversary Telethon raised a total of $4,030,578, with $65,000 raised in new pledges made by phone.
Former News10NBC anchor Rich Funke and host of the event helped to showcase the exciting construction footage of the new children’s hospital with an exclusive video tour of the construction site. This allowed viewers to have a better understanding of the different units and their locations upon the completion of the hospital.
Funke and his co-hosts, Brett Davidsen and Lia Lando, had phones ringing off the hook as they spoke with this year’s five Miracle Kids and their families, former Miracle Kids, pediatricians, and more. 2013 Miracle Kid, Anna Biss, stole the show with her sense of humor and “blah blah” doll. Check out some of our behind-the-scenes photos in our Telethon Facebook album.
If you haven't had a chance yet, we encourage you to read the harrowing and heart-wrenching tales of our 2013 Miracle Kids — children who have shown that with hope, compassion and expertise, amazing things are possible. Please enjoy these stories and believe that miracles can happen.
