292-Baby Community
Have a question about your child's development? Are you concerned that your child is not keeping up with his or her peers? Or would you just like to know more about normal, healthy development in children? Then the 292-Baby Community is for you.
The network can be accessed in several ways:
- Call 292-Baby. This hotline offers information about the community support system. Parents and caregivers registered with RPN receive important information including the "How I Grow" calendar of child development, information about community events, and support just prior to their child's important developmental stages.
- 292-Baby Television Program. "Parent Talk" is a live, call-in television program. It airs on cable channel 4 (regional educational access) every Monday through Friday at 10:00 a.m. The taped program is repeated each evening from 9:00–10:00 p.m. The program features a community calendar and focuses each day on a different parenting issue or topic. Callers using 292-BABY can discuss their concerns on the air. Content from each show is recorded, stored in libraries, and will soon be available over the Internet.
