Clinical Outcome Measures in Friedreich's Ataxia
| Purpose | The purpose of this study is to identify ways to follow the progression of FRDA and to measure clinical and biochemical changes over a short period of time. We hope that these studies will identify outcome measures to be used in future clinical trials. In addition, we are sampling blood to gather genetic material, or DNA from persons with Friedreich's Ataxia to learn more about how genes affect the development of Friedreich's Ataxia. These genetic studies may help us learn more about the clinical variability of FRDA, for example why some people have severe scoliosis, hearing loss, etc....and others do not. | |||
