At any given time, we have over 1,000 clinical research projects underway, supervised by over 375 scientists and researchers. These projects will help us to provide leading-edge drugs, tests, treatments and medical devices to people in our community and around the world.

When you become involved in clinical research at URMC, you will be working with one of the world’s leaders. In 2007, our overall sponsored research totaled $232 million, with over half of that from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). We ranked #1 in the nation for NIH funding of our orthopaedics programs. We also ranked in the top 15 for NIH funding to schools of nursing.
