FREE Health Programs for Eligible UR Employees, Spouses, Domestic Partners, and Retirees
Do you want to live healthier and feel better?
- Lose Weight
- Prevent Diabetes and Hypertension
- Improve Diet and Nutrition
- Reduce Stress
- Stop using tobacco or learn how it affects your health
- The Healthy Living Center can help! We are part of the University of Rochester’s health and wellness benefit called YOURhealth, which helps employees reach their goals for better health and well-being.
Who is eligible: Regular full-time and part-time University of Rochester employees, spouses, and domestic partners. Non-Medicare-eligible retirees and spouses enrolled in a University Health Care Plan are also eligible.
Help is available: We offer free and confidential one-on-one and group support. We see people at our offices at 46 Prince Street, near the Memorial Art Gallery, and at other UR sites. Our doctors, nurses, dietitians, and counselors will help you start and stay on track. We’ll help you discover and tap your own motivation and desire
to make healthy changes.
Incentives: If you or your spouse are enrolled in a University Health Care Plan (Aetna or Excellus), you may be eligible to receive a $100 if you complete a Personal Health Assessment . Up to $200 in extra incentives can also be yours for completing health and wellness programs.
To complete the assessment, you need to “know your numbers” – such as total cholesterol, triglycerides and glucose. It’s easy! Free health (biometric) screenings are available to employees/spouses in a variety of locations. Visit Employee Wellness Programs for more information and the screening schedule.
You decide!
If you want to feel better and live healthier, you might start by getting screened and then completing the online health assessment, which produces a personalized health “report card.”
If, upon seeing the results, you think you might welcome support, call us at
(585) 530-2050 or e-mail us at Healthy_Living_Center@urmc.rochester.edu. We’ll talk things over and decide together how best to support you on your road to better health.
