Diabetes is a serious disease. Did you know that one in five adults is at risk for diabetes? The good news is that lifestyle changes may prevent or delay the disease. Our Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) is here to help people who have been diagnosed with pre-diabetes.
The DPP is a lifestyle change program, which is offered on an individual basis or in small sessions. In this 22-week program, participants learn about what contributes to and gets in the way of behavior change. We will help you eat healthy at home and in restaurants, become active as a way of life, reduce stress, and stay motivated.
Are you employed by the University of Rochester? Your health benefits may cover our health programs at no cost to you. Click here for information.
