Drug-Free Workplace

In addition to complying with the regulations governing the acquisition, storage, administration and distribution of controlled substances, URMC is committed to a workplace in which all professionals, caregivers and employees are free from impairment brought about by the ingestion of any drug or alcohol. The manufacture, distribution or unauthorized possession of controlled substances by individuals affiliated with URMC is strictly prohibited. Any person who knows of the unauthorized possession of, use or distribution of controlled substances by persons employed by or affiliated with URMC shall report the information immediately to his or her supervisor or the Compliance Officer. The URMC entities are committed to a "drug and alcohol free workplace."
