The Department of Community and Preventive Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is seeking to recruit 10 tenure-track faculty at the level of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. The department is seeking outstanding candidates in the areas of Health Services Research, Epidemiology, and Social and Behavioral Medicine (click link for detailed job posting). Successful candidates are expected to make significant contributions to scholarship in their fields, attract extramural support, demonstrate excellence in teaching, and expand partnerships within the university and the community. All applicants must hold a doctoral degree.

The Department of Community and Preventive Medicine currently has 16 full-time faculty in four major divisions; Epidemiology, Health Services Research and Policy, Social and Behavioral Medicine, and Healthcare Management. The Department’s educational program currently serves 141 students and offers three masters degrees, a PhD in Health Services Research, and a PhD in Epidemiology. The department is integrated with the overall clinical research program at URMC through extensive research collaboration and training functions in many other departments. It is ranked second nationally by US News and World Report for Graduate Programs in Community and Preventive Medicine.
