Graduate Certificate in Maternal and Child Health EpidemiologyProgram Description A graduate certificate in MCH Epidemiology is a direct outgrowth of identified training needs at the local, regional and national level. Development of this certificate was funded by the CDC as part of a broader initiative to expand the knowledge and analytic skills of individuals working in or entering the field of Maternal Child Health. The graduate certificate builds on existing courses available in the Community and Preventive Medicine MPH program. Each required and elective course has a specific maternal child health module within it. Course projects are grounded in MCH and will form the basis for the student's developing portfolio. These projects can be linked across courses and form the basis for the student's research project. As with the MPH, a mentored research experience in MCH that integrates course and workshop content is also required. Graduate courses: per credit process through DCPM/URMC |
