Financial Support

There are several means of support for doctoral students.

  • AHRQ Training Program, which provides full tuition support, a stipend, and funding to attend national meetings. Participation in the training program is limited to US citizens or permanent residents.
  • Dean's Scholarships, which provide full tuition support, a stipend, and funding to attend national meetings.
  • Teaching
  • Participation in ongoing faculty research supported by government and private foundation grants.
  • Internship and research at local health organizations.
The stipends for graduate students in Health Services Research are set annually by the School of Medicine and Dentistry, and are competetive with other similar programs.
