Dr Fernandez is interested in the epidemic of obesity among
children and adolescents as a risk factor for cardiovascular disease.
She is currently examining correlates of gestational weight gain
among adolescents as a determinant of post partum weight retention
and later obesity among adolescents of upstate New York.
Joseph Guido
Lead Analyst Programmer and Statistician for several NCI and NHLBI
grants including smoking cessation, diet and drug therapies affecting
cholesterol levels, preventive cardiology interventions in patients
with CAD and the epidemiology of growth and nutrition in children.
Scott McIntosh
Self-help interventions for smoking cessation and behavioral change
with various populations.
Deborah Ossip-Klein
Behavioral medicine, health impact of lifestyle change with
particular focus on cigarette smoking, obesity, aging, child/adolescent
outcomes measurement, and community intervention.

The epidemiology and prevention of cardiovascular atherosclerotic
disease, with a special interest in the role of nutrition in lipid
metabolism and atherogenesis.
