Academic Core Curriculum

Fall 2011

The Academic Core Curriculum, hosted by the Department of Pediatrics, provides training in research and other scholarly activities to fulfill Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and American Board of Pediatrics requirements. Topics discussed include application of biostatistics, clinical and laboratory research methodology, study design, preparation of funding applications, clinical research protocols, public presentation, critical literature review, principles of evidence-based medicine, fatigue recognition and management, principles of curriculum design, outcomes assessment, adult learning and teaching methods, and principles of communication.
