NIH/NINDS Institutional Center Core Grants to Support Neuroscience Research (P30)

NINDS invites applications for Center Core Grants that provide resources and facilities shared by a minimum of six NINDS-supported investigators, and supporting a wider base of neuroscience research.  The proposed Centers will offer services and expertise that would be difficult or impractical to support in individual labs.  The Centers are expected to capitalize on economies and synergies associated with shared resources, and to foster a collaborative environment among neuroscientists at host institutions.

This is a limited submission program. The University may submit only one (1) grant application.

Any interested faculty at the Med Center will need to submit an abstract, CV and budget to Dean Puzas via Catherine Muzytchuk (Catherine_muzytchuk@urmc.rochester.edu).

Faculty at the River Campus interested in submitting a proposal should submit an abstract, CV and budget to the Deans via Debra Haring (debra.haring@rochester.edu) or Cindy Gary (cindy.gary@rochester.edu).

The deadline for submissions to the Deans is March 4.  The Deans will forward their ranked submissions to Associate Provost Jason Adsit by March 15. The Interim Vice President for Research will make the decision for the submission to go forward on March 22.

The complete program solicitation can be found at http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PAR-13-116.html. The optional Letter of Intent is due April 16, 2013. The full proposal is due May 16, 2013. It is important to remember that ORPA must receive electronic proposals five (5) business days prior to the sponsor’s deadline along with a completed and signed University Sign-off form.
