Funding
The UR CTSI provides seed funding to researchers at all career stages to support highly innovative clinical and translational research. Our Pilot and Career Development grants, ranging from $10,000 to $200,000, help researchers gather preliminary information and lay a foundation for future extramurally funded research projects and programs. This early-stage research funding is critical to bridging the gap between scientific discovery and improving human health.
Other Funding Opportunities
Community Health Mini-Grants
Supported by the UR CTSI and the Center for Community Health & Prevention, these are one-time grants of up to $2,000 for six months of support for URMC-community partnerships. For more than 15 years, these grants have provided funding to address concerns such as transportation, childcare, meeting space rental and refreshments, and more.

Nurses affiliated with the URMC Clinical Nursing Research Center (CNRC) are eligible for up to $2000 in mini-grant support for the development, strengthening, or evaluation of equity-focused dissemination and implementation (EQ-DI) research, a field of science that uses a health equity lens to examine the process by which scientific evidence is implemented in clinical settings and communities.
