Blavatnik Awards for Young Scientists

The Blavatnik online nominations in the POSTDOCTORAL category must be made by the President, Dean, or Provost. The University of Rochester is limited to 10 postdoctoral nominations. Therefore, an internal selection process must take place. Please disseminate this message widely to those faculty in your departments who are serving as postdoctoral mentors-we apologize for the late notification.
For the internal selection processes, AS&E postdoctoral fellows and their advisors are asked to submit nomination materials to Dean of Graduate Studies for AS&E, Wendi Heinzelman by 01/10/2012.
Since this award is also open to URMC, the Provost will make the final determination, should the need arise, of which ten postdoctoral candidates who may go forward to full nomination. Please send your materials directly to wendi.heinzelman@rochester.edu

Internal nominations should comprise:

1) The Postdoctoral advisor’s (max. 2,000 characters, including spaces) statement of how the candidate's research has broadly impacted science, explaining how his or her work has been novel, elegant and interdisciplinary.
2) The nominee’s CV
3) A one–page abstract of the nominee’s research proposal
