Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Foundation Award
The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Foundation’s Student Research Training Award provides support to schools of dentistry and teaching hospitals for up to five (5) student research trainees. The awards provide a maximum of $12,500 for up to two (2) years.
The purposes of the Student Research Training Award are to:
- attract highly qualified health profession students to biomedical and behavioral research applicable to oral and maxillofacial surgery;
- increase the number and quality of investigators within the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery;
- interest dental students in the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery;
- provide additional support to institutions where there are active and productive programs of oral and maxillofacial surgery research.
This is a limited submission award; the University may submit only one grant application during this review cycle. Interested trainees must submit an abstract, CV, and budget to Dean Puzas (Catherine_muzytchuk@urmc.rochester.edu) by June 4, 2012, using the words “OMS Student Training Award” in the subject line. The Deans will choose a candidate by June 18, 2012.
The foundation’s deadline for the complete application is July 15, 2012.
