Informatics
The Informatics Core of the Clinical Research Center is funded by the National Institutes of Health for the express purpose of supporting the data management needs of investigator initiated clinical research. The Informatics Core offers assistance with database design and implementation, software application development, web services, forms management and research reporting and analysis. With state-of-the-art IBM servers that reside in the University Data Center, a secure and well-maintained environment exists for the successful management of investigators' research databases.

Phil Ng, B.S. (Computer Science), is an Analyst Programmer. Phil has been with the CRC since 2004 and worked previously as an Information Analyst. • Computer facility usage (four PCs, network printer, scanners)

User Room
Located in room 4-3421, the CRC User Room facilitates protocol data management requirements and is accessible to all investigators and their support staff. The user room has four personal computers, two scanners, a network printer with color capabilities, and possesses multiple software packages (Adobe Acrobat, MS Office, scanning software, and statistical software).
Users are welcome on a first-come, first-serve basis for computer use. In order to reserve a minimum of a 2-hour block for scanning, please call (585) 275-5783. The informatics core staff is always available to provide assistance during your user room utilization.

Training Resources
Introduction to Informatics K-30 training
The CRC Informatics Core and Miner Library partner together to present the Introduction to Informatics workshop offered by Dr. Pearson's K-30 Rochester Clinical Research Curriculum. The precursor to the Advanced Research Informatics workshop, this workshop is offered during the summer of the first year in the program.
