Joint Faculty

Jeffrey Alexis
Research Interest: Signaling pathways that regulate intimal proliferation
George Porter
Research Interest: Mechanisms that control the development of the heart
R. White
Research Interest: Role of mitochondria in hypoxic pulmonary vasoconstriction.

Adjunct Faculty

Scott Cameron
Research Interest: Signal transduction pathways in the cardiovascular system as they relate to thrombotic and ischemic diseases
Chia (George) Hsu
Research Interest: Programmed Cell Death (PCD) in cardiovascular disease (CVD). While great progress has been achieved in the unveiling of the molecular mechanisms of PCD, a new level of complexity, with important therapeutic implications, has begun to emerge. I am particularly interested in Pyroptosis, a highly inflammatory form of lytic PCD, and Ferroptosis, a form of PCD involved in metabolic imbalance and the perturbation of redox homeostasis.
Coeli Lopes
Research Interest: Regulation of the Slow Delayed Rectifier-like current (IKs) in the Heart and the Pathogenesis of the Long QT (LQT1) Syndrome
Joseph Miano
Research Interest: Genomics and gene regulation and function in normal and pathological processes in the cardiovascular system
