Research Overview
The Lowenstein Lab studies vascular inflammation. Specific current projects include: regulation of nitric oxide signaling, endothelial exocytosis of inflammatory granules, microRNA regulation of hypoxic signaling. Our scientific approach is through molecular biology, in vitro cell culture, and relevant mouse genetic models. We employ in vivo models to study tumor angiogenesis, leukocyte trafficking, and thrombosis.
