Donating

The Deaf Wellness Center (DWC) is a program of the University of Rochester, which is not-for-profit organization. Our operating funds primarily come from research and training grants and from insurance income from patient care services. It is always a struggle to keep our budget balanced. Grants are difficult and time-consuming to obtain and receiving adequate reimbursement for patient care services in the current public mental health fiscal environment is a tremendous challenge. The additional overhead costs we must pay to the University of Rochester Medical Center put even more pressure on our fiscal solvency. There is so much more that we could do if we had additional funds to pursue our many wonderful service, teaching, and research ideas. Won't you please consider donating to help support the DWC? We accept donations via check, MasterCard or Visa. Our address is: Deaf Wellness Center, 300 Crittenden Blvd., Rochester, NY 14642. Our general telephone number is 585-275-6785 v/TTY and our fax number is 585-273-1117. Those interested in discussing more substantive gift planning, such as bequeathments or other estate-related giving mechanisms should contact DWC director Dr. Robert Pollard at 585-275-3544 v/TTY.
