The Oral
and Maxillofacial Surgery Program traditionally follows
a medical education model and maintains close ties with the Department
of Surgery. This is a four-year program that is fully accredited
by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental
Association. The Program is based at Strong Memorial Hospital
with an Affiliation Agreement with Rochester General Hospital.
The Program accepts two residents per year. While the Program
is based at Strong Memorial Hospital, it has strong ties and
a direct relationship with the University of Rochester Eastman
Department of Dentistry at Eastman Dental Center.
Program goal for the upcoming year: To consolidate services resulting
in increased efficiency, quality, productivity, and satisfaction;
to proceed with scholarly pursuits; to retain faculty, to continue
with the growth of the resident academic educational program; and
to continue with relationship development and interactions within
Eastman Department of Dentistry.
