Giving and Receiving –
A Win-Win Situation
David and Grace Strong are committed friends, donors, and volunteers at the Wilmot Cancer Center. Dave, who was treated for colon cancer in 1994, says, “I am so grateful to be a survivor that if I can help support other patients, I am happy to do so.”
The Strongs have purchased a charitable gift annuity to support the Cancer Center Comprehensive Campaign. They feel that a charitable gift annuity offered a unique opportunity to make a significant contribution to a project that will advance patient care and cancer research and make an impact in the community.
Dave says, “I am so impressed by what the Wilmot Cancer Center does and how they treat their patients, that when they wanted to expand their efforts, I wanted to support that.” He adds, “I would recommend a charitable gift annuity to others. The concept is a good way to support an organization you believe in and to get financial benefits as well.” Grace agrees, “Every time you pick up the paper, there is something that gives you hope. The Wilmot Cancer Center is a place where patients receive compassionate care and the most advanced cancer treatment. We feel good about making this gift.”
