Advanced Visualization Workstation WorkshopThe exhibiting company participating in the Advanced Visualization Workstation Workshop must demonstrate that its workstation can process and display large data sets from MDCT and MRI systems. The advanced visualization application may be a stand-alone workstation or integrated with a PACS and/or RIS application in a client-server relationship. Each attendee participating in the workshop will be asked to judge the workstation with respect to the following features:
The following companies will be participating in the Advanced Visualization Workstation Workshop: Barco, Inc. has established a solid reputation in the medical imaging market by providing high-performance display and visualization solutions. At the heart of Barco Medical Imaging are PACS display solutions, QA tools and custom imaging solutions that facilitate confident diagnoses and overcome the traditional constraints of conventional 2D and 3D workstations. Moreover, Barco’s 3D medical imaging software can be integrated into PACS workstations to provide the essential capabilities for fast and effective diagnosis. Barco’s 3D clinical applications suite allows accurate and productive analysis of clinical data, including cardiac, vessel, colonoscopy and PET/CT exams. Barco’s Advanced Visualization software suite has the flexibility for multiple levels of deployment, i.e. full PACS integration where memory is shared with the PACS unit and no need for query/retrieve of data is necessary. Barco’s advanced visualization solutions are designed to increase reading efficiency when dealing with large volume data sets provided by MDCT or MRI systems. Philips Healthcare Systems will demonstrate the latest versions of iSite PACS (version 3.6/4.1). iSite PACS (versions 3.6/4.1) features advanced visualization capabilities that are completely integrated into the PACS workflow and provide additional diagnostic information through clinically relevant visualization anywhere throughout the enterprise. Fully interactive real-time volumetric reading tools (MIP, MPR, 3D) are delivered instantaneously via Philips iSyntax3D technology, which brings unparalleled rendering performance and scalability without additional server cost and complexities. An exciting addition to the iSite family is some of Philips advanced analysis applications on iSite PACS. This builds on Philips strategy to increase clinical context and workflow efficiency across the enterprise and at the point of care. The following clinical applications will be demonstrated at the Philips workshop area: iSite VolumeVision - State-of-the-art 3D visualization toolset to improve diagnostic efficiency. iSite CT Colonography – Featuring 2D, 3D Unfolded (to see polyps clearly) and reporting. iSite Pulmonary Emboli (PE) - Quick and confident reading of pulmonary CT-A exams for patients with a clinical suspicion of PE. Vital Images, Inc. is a leading provider of enterprise-wide advanced visualization software solutions. Vitrea®, the company’s signature software, is Vital Images’ advanced visualization solution that creates 2D, 3D and 4D images of human anatomy from CT (computed tomography) and MR (magnetic resonance) image data. ViTALConnect® is the company’s Web-enabled medical diagnostic tool that allows physicians to use PCs or notebook computers to access interactive 2D, 3D and 4D advanced visualization. The company's technology gives radiologists, cardiologists, oncologists and other medical specialists’ time-saving productivity and communications tools that can be accessed throughout the enterprise and via the Web for easy use in the day-to-day practice of medicine. In addition, Vital Images’ strength in strategic partnerships, including industry-leading PACS (picture archiving and communications systems) and CAD (computer-aided detection) companies, expand physicians’ capabilities and access to Vitrea software throughout an enterprise. Vital Images is a recognized innovative leader in medical technology, as indicated by its receipt of awards such as the Tekne award, which honors companies that positively impact Minnesota's technology-based economy.
