Map and Travel Directions to the DWC

The DWC is located in the Department of Psychiatry (also known as Strong Behavioral Health) at Strong Memorial Hospital (University of Rochester Medical Center) in Rochester, NY. Our address is 300 Crittenden Boulevard. We are near the west end of the large Strong Memorial Hospital complex of buildings. The complex is at the intersection of Elmwood Ave. and Mt. Hope Blvd. in the city of Rochester. Starting at the corner of Mt. Hope and Crittenden Blvd. (one block south from Elmwood), drive to the end of Crittenden Blvd., then turn left on Kendrick Road. Immediately after turning left on Kendrick, you will see the entrance to a visitor's parking lot on your left. Park in that lot. (Do not park in the hospital ramp garage -- it's too far away.) After parking in the visitor's lot, walk across the lot to the Crittenden Blvd. side (not the Kendrick Road side). Then cross Crittenden Blvd. and walk toward the buildings straight ahead. You will see a sign that says "Strong Behavioral Health" (SBH). (Do not park in the hospital ramp garage -- it's too far away.) Walk into the SBH doorway, veer left in the atrium, and you'll see a large waiting area for Strong Behavioral Health/SMH Psychiatry. The Deaf Wellness Center is located on the second floor but we typically will meet first-time patients and visitors in the lobby on the ground floor.

The Greater Rochester International Airport (airport code ROC) is about 5 miles away. There is an Amtrack rail station serving downtown Rochester, about 10 miles away from the DWC.  Trailways and Greyhound bus companies also serve downtown Rochester.
