Our Midlevel Providers

The midlevel providers at the University of Rochester Medical Center Department of Otolaryngology are highly skilled health care professionals who are certified and state licensed to practice medicine with the supervision of a physician. Our Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Physician’s Assistant (PA) have been specifically trained by Board Certified and Fellowship-trained Physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of all ear, nose and throat diseases, and work hand in hand with our specialists to provide excellent care. They are creative, compassionate and uniquely placed to deliver preventive care through education and extend the care that our doctors provide by alleviating some of the routine work for physicians such as physical examination, diagnostic testing, prescribing medications and non-surgical treatment of diseases.
